Heading out over Rosgill common

The love, care and knowledge Tom has for the Fell ponies is shown in the trust they have for him.

I was taken out my comfort zone in so many ways but it felt so rewarding overcoming the challenges and have come home to a positive, refreshed and relaxed new me.

What an amazing adventure I have had and will be one thing I can tick off my bucket list and will make sure others add it to theirs.
— Helen - Mosedale wilderness trek

The Mosedale Common trek is more challenging than the Swindale trek with longer days pushing beyond the waterfalls higher into the fells where the wilderness begins and the herds of Red deer roam free.

Day 2 takes us over the Gatesgarth pass to the shores of Haweswater and the back over the Old Corpse Road

Mosedale Common

We encourage all our groups to arrive the afternoon/night before the trek to give themselves time to settle in with the ponies, get to know the kit and also be able to make an early start the next morning’s trek to the wildcamp in the fells. We return to basecamp in the afternoon of the last day..

For smaller groups we can tailor a trek to suit your needs.
