Two full days riding and a wild camp with breathtaking views of Windermere and the Lakeland fells.
Join us on the two day hack & wild camp, immersing yourself in the beautiful landscapes surrounding Windermere. Our exclusive package caters to experienced riders.
£595 per person for a full two days hack on bridleways, forest tracks and country lanes. We make camp in a beautiful 17 acre wild flower meadow overlooking lake Windermere and the Old Man of Coniston.

Nestled at the foot of Windermere, our journey begins in the quiet village of Staveley-in-Cartmel, rising out of the valley to witness breathtaking views of the lake below.
With two full days riding we make camp in a beautiful wild flower meadow. Sleeping in tents and cooking over fire, we provide all the necessary equipment from pots and pans to mattresses and sleeping bags. All you need to bring is suitable all weather clothing, a small rucksack with a spare set of clothes and we’ll take care of everything else.
Suitable for competent riders only.
The minimum age for riders is 12 years old.
The weight limit for riders on our ponies is 12.5 stone (80Kg).
DAY 1 (approx 8 miles)
• Arrive in the morning at our basecamp at the foot of Windermere
• Meet and make friends with your pony, grooming and tacking up.
• Head up the old pack horse route and make lunch by the tranquil tarn
• Ride through the forest and make camp overlooking Windermere
• Evening meal cooked on an open fire
• Settle down for the night in the comfort of our tents with inflatable mattress, 3 season sleeping bag and blanket
DAY 2 (approx 8 miles)
• Slow breakfast
• Head back into the forest for lunch and a full day’s hack.
• Arrive back at basecamp approx 3pm

What you need to bring
This is an all weather expedition so you will need
Warm clothing (layers work well)
A waterproof and windproof Jacket
Sturdy footwear for riding
Small rucksack containing a spare change of clothes
Crocs/flip-flops/plimsoles to wear once we make camp
Torch
Wash kit and towel
Travel pillow
A sense of adventure
