What a 48 hours….. loved every minute of our time with Tom and the Hades Hill ponies
.
This isn’t just some commercial camping experience, this is the real deal. Tom has continued his fathers Fell pony herd, first est. in 1957 and is doing wonders to educate and share not only his ponies buts his time and knowledge of this wonderful breed - proper little tough nuts and full of charm I couldn’t have been happier walking alongside such a trusty team of four legged friends.
.
And don’t think you need to be horsey!! You really don’t - there’s something for everyone, amazing views, great food, campfires, sunsets - a great experience all round.

Making camp with our Fell ponies

What an absolute gem of a find! We did the overnight wildcamp experience which was just incredible, the memories we have created will stay with us forever. Our beautiful ponies were the most gentle creatures, who we very quickly felt a connection with.  The sheer joy experienced by my children hands down beats Christmas day, it was so special!

Wild camp with views overlooking Windermere and The Old Man of Coniston

Sleeping in our award winning Robens tent and cooking over fire, the ponies carry all the basic equipment from pots and pans to mattresses and sleeping bags. All you need to bring is a small rucksack or day bag and suitable all weather clothing & footwear while we take care of everything else. We can tailor this trek to suit all ages and abilities.

Thank-you for a really wonderful trip. It was such a very special and memorable adventure and formed memories we will treasure.

The food was fabulous and really well beyond anything we had expected and it made it extra special.

This has to be the most authentic and unique family adventure available and if your children love horses then this will be a dream for them. Our girls faces lit up when they realised we were sleeping in a field with ponies!  The food was delicious and plentiful!. Many Many Thanks to Fell Pony Adventures for making this an absolute dream, we will be back!
